LG Heads To CES 2017 With New K, X, Stylus Variants; X Power 2 Scheduled For MWC

With the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 on its final stretch date, companies and developers are now adding the final (and important) touches on what they will be packing on the event. One of them is LG; rumors are now saying that the South Korean firm will be pre-announcing a handful of Smartphones prior to the January tech extravaganza.

Through Android portal Android Authority, Venture Beat reported that there will be four new handheld devices LG will be announcing in the weeks leading to CES 2017. Unfortunately, flagship variants were ruled out. Rather, it will be new models in LG's entry-level X, K and Stylus line. These include the K3, which will sport a 4.5-inch display screen, 5megapixel rear shooter, 2megapixel front facing snapper and a 2,100mAh juicer. Another is the 4.7inch LG K4 that should also come with an 8megapixel rear cam, 5megapixel in front and a 2,500mAh juicer.

The LG K8, on the other hand, will tout a bigger 5.0inch High Definition display screen, a 13megapixel sensor on the rear, 5megapixel in front and a similar 2,500mAh battery. The LG K10 is the new line's big brother with its phablet-like 5.3inch HD display screen, 5megapixel camera in front with wide-angle, fingerprint sensor and 2.5D glass on both sides of the Smartphone. The quartet will be available in mid-January, the source added.

There's also word that LG is planning to debut the X-Calibur, a "new rugged phone" with IPS68 certification (water and dust resistant) and a whopping 4,100mAh battery in March. The LG Stylus 3 meanwhile will the shelves in February. Reports are saying that the device will be called the Stylo 3 in the United States, and should flaunt a 5.7inch screen, 32GB ROM, 13megapixel rear camera plus 5megapixel snapper in front, 3200mAh battery and the standard fingerprint sensor. LG's X-Power 2 Smartphones will wait until the MWC 2017 unrolls its red carpet in February.
