‘Gears of War 4’ Celebrates ‘Gearsmas’; DLC Pack Includes Snowball Fight, Holiday-Themed Skins, Armors & More!

"Gears of War 4" joins the holiday celebration as it launches "Gearsmas," complete with snowball fights and special holiday-themed skins and armors. This adds a little holiday cheer to the violent-filled game.

The centerpiece of Gearsmas Pack is a special multiplayer event aptly called "Snowball Fight." Players of "Gears of War 4" get to fling snowballs at their enemies using a custom Snowshot weapon, according to Engadget. Like in a real-life snowball fight, players can't reload. They have to pick up snow ammo.

Also, GameSpot noted that the Gearsmas Pack allows "Gears of War 4" players to unlock 28 pieces of themed content. This is inclusive of "Ugly Gearsmas Armor" for JD, Kait, and Swarm Drone. Plus, Gingerbread men, snowmen, and wrapping paper weapon skins are included in the Gearsmas Pack.

Gearsmas Pack for "Gears of War 4" will cost players 400 credits or around 99 cents. It comes with one bounty and 2 times from the following collection: 4x Gingerbread Weapon Skins, 4x Festive Tree Weapon Skins, 4x Snowman Weapon Skins, 4x JD wrapping paper weapon skins, 4x Kait wrapping paper weapon skins, 4x swarm wrapping paper weapon skins, and 1 commemorative Gearsmas emblem.

Rainbow Central further details that players will have a shot at securing limited-edition items via the Daily Rewards system. This included a Chuzzmas Emblem on December 16 and an Ice Boomshot from December 24 to 26.

On top of that, a Snowball Fight special event featuring the Snowshot, a custom holiday weapon, will be available to play on "Gears of War 4." Crossplay Versus is also back for the event, allowing Xbox One and Windows 10 gamers to play together.

"Gears of War 4" is on sale at a 35% discount until Dec. 28.
