Junior High Math Teacher Gets Reprimanded For Using Inappropriate Word In A Math Problem

A math teacher at Middleburg Heights Junior High School in Ohio got himself in an awkward situation with parents of his students and the school administration for using an inappropriate word in one of his math lessons. One of the fathers of his students went ahead to a local network to complain about his actions on Dec. 22.

In a news report made by Fox 8, Daniel Rapp, a Junior high school math teacher gets reprimanded by the school superintendent after a parent reached out to the network about his inappropriate method of teaching. The parent is a father of two teen students in his class who one day got a word from his children about their teacher's lesson, which involved the word "nudes."

As a father, he got mad after seeing a photo of the math problem that his kids took while they were class. In it says, "Tony can send 5 texts and 3 nudes in 19 minutes. He could also send 3 texts and 1 nude in 9 minutes. How long would it take him to send one text and one nude?"

After seeing it, the children's dad didn't think twice but report the teacher and even take them out of his class. Rapp was given a disciplinary action after the superintendent, Michael Sheppard, found out about it.

Apparently, this is not his first time to have an issue like this. He wasn't fired, as Sheppard believes that he is still a good teacher and he does a good job in teaching math to his student. It is just his inappropriate way of doing it has to be handled.

Scary Mommy blogged about this incident and found Rapp's behavior highly inappropriate. Some parents would think it is funny but mostly see it offensive. If you're a parent, what do you think about this teacher and was it enough that he only got a written warning? Place your opinion below.
