The movie "La La Land" is reported to be this year's Best Romantic movie. "La La Land" stars two of the most sought after romantic movie staples, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. Both stars are known for their superb portrayal of romantically inclined characters.

Emma Stone played the lead in "Easy A," a romantic comedy which did impressively well on the big screen back in 2010. Of course, she starred in other romantic comedy movies, even in "Spider Man" movie where she played the love interest of the comic book hero.

Ryan Gosling, on the other hand, played the lead male character of the movie "The Notebook" back in 2004. "The Notebook" is arguably one of the best romantic movies of all time. This by far paved the way Ryan Gosling's stellar career automatically catapulting him to A-List status.

According to IMDb, the movie "La La Land" earned a total of $4,102,091 during its opening weekend last Dec. 16. This figure only covers the USA alone. With the movie shown worldwide, the number will definitely skyrocket.

The movie "La La Land" also garnered great reviews from movie critics and moviegoers alike. One review from IMDb even said that the movie is a wonderful and loving ode to the dreamers and artists of the world. The movie has a lot of factors in it, other than romance that made it widely acceptable and supported by moviegoers across the board.

As added by Rotten Tomatoes, the movie "La La Land" also did a great job in keeping everyone's spirits up. One review by Jim Slotek of Toronto Sun said that he has yet to meet someone who has watched the movie and came out in a bad mood.

There are several other rave reviews about the movie "La La Land." It is absolutely not a shocker to have it named as the Best Romantic movie of the year 2016.
