‘X-Men’ Future Looks Bleak? Michael Fassbender & Jennifer Lawrence Not Sure To Be Part Of The Next Movie?

The X-Men franchise is one of the most successful superhero series of all time for its box-office history as well as starring some of the most talented actors and actresses of today such as Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy. After "X-Men Apocalypse," fans are yet to hear certain information about the next movie of this film series, yet it seems like Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence are not too eager to reprise their roles.

According to an article in ComicBook, Michael Fassbender who first appeared as Magneto in "X-Men: First Class" in 2011 said in an interview that he is not sure if he will reprise his role. This is apparently because the "Assassin's Creed" actor has no idea as well about the future of the film series from Marvel Comics. Besides reports are saying that "X-Men Apocalypse" is the last movie in the contracts of Michael, Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy.

Meanwhile, a post from CBR claims that Jennifer Lawrence is not so enthusiastic to reprise her role as Mystique. The article reported that Lawrence would rather have a cameo role as Mystique in the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" than to be part of another" X-Men" film. This statement was apparently said during an interview for her latest movie with Chris Pratt, "Passengers."

The fact that the last "X-Men" film released did not draw as much audience as before and failed to earn the nod from critics probably add as the reason why the next X-Men film is uncertain. Fans of Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender though can still hope to see the two actors in one movie again since franchise producers, Simon Kinberg and Director Bryan Singer is said to be developing a new superhero movie with Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender in mind.

Will the "X-Men Series" lose some of its audience appeal if ever Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence will fail to reprise their roles as Magneto and Mystique? Or will the audience continue to support the film with new actors in it?
