'XCOM: Enemy Unknown' Newest Mod The Long War 2 ls Now On The Works By Pavonis Interactive

The turn-based tactical game "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" will be having a new conversion The Long War 2. Its first conversion The Long War is considered to be an excellent conversion mod for the game which added new technologies and more classes as well as made the campaign longer.

According to Gamespot, the modders who made The Long War for "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" has a new name and it is working on various projects include The Long War 2. The name of the team was changed to Pavonis Interactive from its previously known name Long War Studios. It will also work together with the game's developer Firaxis and publisher 2k Games.

Meanwhile, Pavonis Interactive confirmed that it is currently working on new projects including an entirely original work. According to Shack News, there are still no details about The Long War 2 as of now. However, it is said that specifics will be revealed in the coming weeks. It is also confirmed that it will still be available for free.

On the other hand, the modders have a new website and an explanation is posted as to why the name of their group has been changed. Pavonis Interactive wants to develop original games that are not related to "XCOM."

The design lead of Pavonis Interactive John Lumpkin explained that the team has the intention of modding original games other than "XCOM." He also pointed out that the team is focused on developing a grand strategy game involving alien invasion called "Terra Invicta."

"Terra Invicta" is a game which makes a player a leader of the defense team to save the Earth from the invasion of aliens. Council of politicians, scientists, operatives and military leaders who can unite the nations should be assembled by the player since an alien force has started probing the defenses of the earth. As of now, there is still no confirmation as to when it will be available on Kickstarter.
