Teen Stabbing In London: 15-Year-Old Quamari Barnes Murdered Outside School, Attacker Arrested

A teenage boy was recently arrested outside Capital City Academy in north-western London. The boy, who is reported to be 15 years old, stabbed another boy, Quamari Barnes, of the same age in front of many spectators while the rest stood watching without taking any action.

This murder is the second instance in London of a teenager being fatally wounded by a knife. The event unfolded on Monday at around 3:30 p.m. at a bus station near the school.

The teenager was waiting to get a bus home while he was attacked. An ambulance immediately took the stabbed boy to a nearby hospital.

Quamari Barnes died in the hospital due to his fatal wounds. The school made the news official through a heartbroken tweet while the students lay flowers and notes at the entrance gate of the school to pay their respect, BBC informed.

The eye witnesses explained that the scene was calm before the murder.  All of a sudden, however, the students started yelling and running around fearfully.

Some had gathered around a body lying on the ground. Initially the boy was expected to survive but unfortunately, he could not pull through.

The police and forensic officers carried out the investigation to search the area surrounding the school to find more information about the crime. The Guardian reported that a family friend of the murdered boy said the attacker threatened the boy at the bus station. Barnes tried running towards the school to seek safety but was killed before he could. It is still unclear what prompted the assailant to commit the crime.

A similar incident occurred earlier in the month when a 19-year-old business studies student at the Middlesex University, Djodjo Nsaka, was found dead. His body, which was discovered near the Wembley Stadium, was stabbed by a knife too.
