Remy Ma Suffers Miscarriage; 'Love & Hip Hop' Star Talks Pregnancy Loss In Heartbreaking Video [WATCH]

"Love & Hip Hop" reality TV star Remy Ma poured her heart out after suffering a miscarriage. In the show's Monday episode, the 36-year-old Grammy-nominated rapper learned she's pregnant with her first child with Papoose.

But as the episode wrapped up, Remy Ma's happy news turned sad when she revealed it was an ectopic pregnancy. She had to undergo surgery to remove the fetus and was also told by her doctors she cannot get pregnant again.

The pregnancy loss was too much to bear that Remy Ma opened up by posting a heartbreaking video on Instagram after the episode. "This was a hard time for me & my husband," Remy Ma told her followers. "We thought long and hard before deciding to share this part of our lives with you all," she said. Watch her video below.

First, thank you to everyone that sent their congrats as well as condolences This was a hard time for me & my husband & we thought long and hard before deciding to share this part of our lives with you all. I was totally against it but in a fit of crying @papoosepapoose said " you are not the only one going thru this , we will get thru it" ...made me realize how many women like myself experience the same thing and don't have a strong partner by their side to say it will be alright. So I'm here to tell anyone going thru a similar situation that it is not over and God has the last say so Thank you to the staff at the hospital I was in; you all were super nice & respectful and did everything to ensure I was comfortable. And to Dr. Razmzan , who came to perform my surgery at 5am, who tried his best to leave me scarless and succeeded, who eased any fears I had- THANK YOU, & don't retire yet cuz once we find the right in vitro dr you have to deliver my babies #BlackLove #RemyMa #MeetTheMackies

According to Planned Parenthood, ectopic pregnancy can happen in 2 out of 100 cases. Doctors do not consider this as common but its risks are high. If undetected and treated, it can lead to maternal death.

There are, however, moms who have gotten pregnant again even after going through an ectopic pregnancy. It's unclear why Remy Ma won't be able to have babies again following her miscarriage.

According to gynecologist Sara Gottfried, MD, removing the fallopian tubes in an ectopic pregnancy is necessary in some cases, so that the bleeding will stop. Doing this, however, could affect future pregnancy chances. "If you've had one ectopic, your risk is higher of having another ectopic if you still have one or two fallopian tubes," she said, according to Yahoo.

Despite the sad state, Remy Ma and Papoose vow to put their focus on their two children. Billboard reports the rapper has a daughter while her husband has a son from their previous relationships.
