'The Blacklist' Season 4 Air Date, Cast, New Update: Liz Keen, Red Reddington Losing THIS Co-Star Soon? [SPOILERS]

"The Blacklist" Season 4 from NBC and showrunners Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath will have Liz Keen (Megan Boone) and Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) will have to say goodbye to Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) soon. With spinoff "The Blacklist: Redemption getting its NBC schedule for February 2017, the separation between Tom and Liz Keen will snowball into fruition. It does not help that the seeming revelation delivered by the series at midseason finale, Episode 8 "Dr Adrian Shaw," between Raymond Reddington and Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) seems to hide a bigger puzzle within.

TV Guide reports that the much touted "The Blacklist: Redemption," which is set to star Ryan Eggold as Tom Keen and Famke Janssen as Susan Hargrave will premiere on Feb 23, 2017. The spinoff will test the waters with all eight episodes by Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath. The premiere comes as "The Blacklist" Season 4 closes.

Meanwhile, Tom Keen is leaving behind an all but tidy Season 4. At least view, Raymond Reddington seemed to have owned up to being Liz keen's father. However, this may not be a cut-and-dried admission and viewers will keep guessing on a few other things. As Parent Herald reports, fans will need to dig up the real reason why Liz Keen is important to Raymond Reddington.

Fans must recall "The Blacklist" Season 3 episode where Red Reddington believed Liz Keen to be dead and went on a mourning spree in Cape May. Interestingly, Raymond Reddington seems to have been grieving beyond someone who was his offspring. Also interesting was the cryptic appearance of Katarina Rostova and her equally puzzling dialogue with Red Reddington.

Also a standing puzzle is what Katarina Rostova (Lotte Verbeek) had really been playing at when she became involved with Alexander Kirk (also known as Constantin Rostov) and Raymond Reddington. While both men may have simply been a job for Katarina Rostova, "The Blacklist" will yet have to divulge the ultimate endgame for the mother of Liz Keen. NBC will air "The Blacklist" Season 4 midseason premiere, Episode 9 (Lipet's Seafood Company) on Jan 5, 2017.
