It seems that season 2 "Chicago Med" will conclude with a heartbreaking episode. Spoilers reveal that fans of "Chicago Med" will witness the death of a major character by the end of season 2.

Few episodes prior to season 2 finale, fans of "Chicago Med" will see the demise of an important character in the series. According to TV Guide, the departure will be a "tragic" kind of death which will have a great impact on the colleagues of the recurring character.

The publication further mentioned that the demise of the character will be an avenue for one of the remaining cast to land a better career opportunity which the exiting character will leave vacant. In addition, it was also mentioned that his loss will result to a dominant shake-up at the hospital.

The identity of the character who will die in this season 2 of "Chicago Med" is not yet revealed. However, based on the clues mentioned above, it seems that the character who will die has a high ranking position because his exit will make his colleague to be promoted.

Meanwhile, "Chicago Med" will have a crossover event on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017. The show has just posted an announcement on its official Twitter account detailing the crossover event titled "#OneChicago" will air for two hours.

With regard to the upcoming episode 9 of "Chicago Med" season 2 titled "Unchartered Territory," fans can expect doctors clashing with their varying opinions on a critical case they were tasked to handle. Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) and Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) will have a rift as they argue about a life-threatening case. Dr. Charles will need to make a huge decision as he is not very sure if he will allow the patient to undergo a heart transplant or not, which Dr. Rhodes will insist on proceeding the transplant.

On a lighter note, the upcoming episode 9 of "Chicago Med" season 2 will also add some romantic plot on the side. Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) will hear a loving confession from his beau Jeff (guest star Jeff Hephner).
