How Blake Lively Makes The World A Safer Place For Her Daughters, Other Children

Blake Lively takes an active part in making the world a safer place for children, especially her kids. The actress, who is married to "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds since 2012, has two daughters, 2-year-old James and 6-month-old Ines.

Lively revealed she's working with the nonprofit Child Rescue Coalition (CRC) in the fight against child pornography, via Variety's Power of Women. She wants to raise awareness about the group's work especially in the way they track down offenders.

These offenders share images and videos of sexually abused children on the internet. CRC owns technology that could track down their IP addresses so authorities can make arrests.

The mother-of-two strongly believes in the CRC's cause. "If you proactively find these predators, you can save so many children," she said, as per Elle UK.

Some 300,000 children in America alone are victims of child porn, according to CRC. Pedophiles also stalk and lure these kids in person aside from their illegal activities online.

"There are millions of files all over the world being traded every single day of child pornography," Lively said. "It's so disturbing. A lot of these people are fathers."

Meanwhile, Lively and her husband are fiercely protective of their daughters from the prying eyes of the public. In fact, the parents hardly post images of their children online. If they do, they limit the angles so James and Ines' face aren't splashed all over the internet.

The parents, however, indulged the public when they appeared as a family unit when Reynolds received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as per Today. It was the first public debut for the Reynolds kids.

Despite the allure of Hollywood, Lively also said she and her husband choose their work carefully for the sake of their kids, especially if this means they have to be away from family a lot. "We've both given up projects that we really love because we can't keep our family together," the actress said.
