Online Shopping: How to Save Money [6 Effortless Tips]

People have been resorting to online shopping, especially now that they have to practice social distancing. Everything is available online. Necessities, food, appliances, technology, and even furniture are all sold on different online platforms.

Joanie Demer told People that people are doing their best to keep a safe distance from others. Apart from that, they also want to save money while shopping online. The co-founder of www.thekrazycouponlady.com, Demer, said that shopping is going to look different even after the pandemic is over. Here are some tips on how to save money while you do online shopping.

Be patient when online shopping

When you plan to buy something online, try to add them to the cart first. Do not immediately buy them. Sometimes companies send emails to potential buyers when they see that the buyer has added their product on their carts and the item has been sitting there for a few days.

They would offer discount coupons or promo codes to get the buyer to click the "buy" button. By doing this, you can save money during online shopping.

Shop on the curbside to save money

Demer said that the best way to save money while shopping online is buying from the curbside. All you have to do is to schedule a curbside pick-up. They never charge fees. You may use retail and manufacturer coupons too.

She also said that Kroger has better deals from the parking lot than from stores. She added that other grocery store chains also accept coupons. You could get promotions for first-time customers in most online delivery services. They also offer coupons and deals, so make sure to click on them to avail.

Use a money-saver app

Another tip on how to save money, Demer recommends, is using an app. She recommends you download the Ibotta app. You can use Target, Instacart, or Wal-Mart purchases. She said that if you upload your receipt, you get a rebate, so you could get to save more.

She also suggests you download Checkout 51. The app works with delivering packing slips. Another one to consider is the Fetch Rewards app. You earn points every time you scan your grocery receipt. The points get converted into dollars. Many other apps help you to save while online shopping.

Use a credit card with a cashback

Shop at places you have not shopped before the pandemic to save money

When people experienced toilet paper shortage, they found them at OfficeMax or Home Depot. Drugstores also have some of the best deals on essential items, said Demer. She also noted that Walgreens also run the same crazy promotions as they do in-store.
