Jennifer Lopez Held a Surprise Birthday Party for Her Mom’s Birthday

Jennifer Lopez held a surprise birthday party for her mom's 75th birthday. The 51 years old singer shared a video on Instagram showing the moment when her family, with her fiancé Alex Rodriguez, yelled "Surprise!" along with her mother's perfect reaction on Saturday. 

The surprise birthday was then followed by Jennifer Lopez and her family's sweet moments together as they sat together around their dinner table. Later, they were on a Zoom call with their other family and friends, who were all singing a "Happy Birthday" while she blew out the candles on her cake.

The celebration

Jennifer Lopez's 12 years old twins Emme and Max joined the surprise birthday celebration online, telling their dearest grandma how much they love her and greeted her on her very special day through a Zoom video call. 

In an Instagram post, Jennifer Lopez wrote, "Surprise! Happy 75th birthday to my beautiful mommy!!! I love you so much We all do. You are the definition of being youthful and timeless at every age ... thank you for your endless love, energy, support and for just being you!!! I love you forever ♥️ #HappyBirthday #TheLupinator".

A-Rod, Jeniffer Lopez's fiancé, shared the same video on his Instagram with a caption, "What an honor it was to surprise and celebrate @jlo's mother, Lupe, on her 75th birthday. It's obvious where Jen gets her beauty! Happy 75th to a truly wonderful woman."

Previous celebrations

Aside from this year's surprise birthday party for her mom, Jennifer Lopez never fails to pay homage to her. For her mom's birthday last year, the singer shared a video of their mother and daughter duo on the stage together, letting the fans know in the caption that she got it all from her mama. 

Jennifer Lopez said that people often ask her where she got her energy, drive, and dance moves. She answered that it was all from her mama, Guadalupe. She said that for as long as she can remember, she could recall seeing her dancing, laughing and lighting up every room that she is in. 

The singer added that her mama is the definition of youthful and timeless at every age. That her mother loved music, movies, history, musicals, not to mention that she also believes in true love and all of that was put into her, and as her daughter, she is all the better for it.

The singer's birthday message

As Jennifer Lopez wrote in her message for her mom's birthday last year, Guadalupe is the reason why she is who she is today. She thanked her mama for loving her the way that she does, for everything that she did for her, and for simply being her. Jennifer Lopez said that there are not enough words to express how much she values her mama, but right now, all she can say is that she loves her mama forever. She ended her message with, "Happy Birthday, you force of nature. #thelupinator"
