Mom Says Kid Often Has Tantrums

Parents and children alike can learn a lesson from the 6-year-old Noah, who has now gone viral for his technique in taming tantrums. The mom of the children said that her 6-year-old has always been the sweet one.

In a follow-up post, she said that 4-year-old Cory had been a long way from his worst temper tantrum days. In the video, it can be seen how his older brother helped him when his anger was getting the best of him. The child is now getting better at regulating his emotions, thanks to his family.

Boy Calms Down Brother's Tantrums with 'Breathing' Technique

The mom, who goes by as @ashleyoutloud on Twitter, explained that the child was crying over a Nintendo he wanted to play. Unfortunately, the Nintendo was recently plugged in to charge, EurWeb reported.

In the first moments, the mother could not film, and she said her son Noah first calmly explained to his brother that he understands his brother's pain, but he has to wait because the Nintendo was not done charging.

Noah was able to empathize with his brother, and that was the first step to get his brother to cooperate with what he was about to do next.

In the 21-second video clip, Noah started to guide his younger brother to begin breathing in and out. When Cory was about to cry again, he instructed him to "breathe," and then "again," demonstrating and guiding his younger brother, Pop Sugar reported.

When the little one's tantrum subsided, the older brother patted his sibling while saying, "See? It [breathing technique] helps you to calm down." That reassurance, in the end, is a good sign that the younger brother will stick to this technique for the long run or at least will not be afraid to turn to his brother for help when he feels frustrated again.
