4 Photos Of Your Kids That You Should Never Post On Social Media

It has become common for parents to share photos of their kids on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We all have seen our social media pages filled with lots of photos of kids having birthday parties, baptisms, visiting new locations or interacting with different people.

However, some photos of kids should never be shared on social media, according to Parenting.com. Learning what to share and what not to share on social media can spare your children a lot of embarrassment, humiliation and potential harm in the future.

1. Kids' bath time

Bath time for kids is supposed to be cute and innocent. However, there is a potential danger in sharing bath time pictures of your kids on social media. "Unfortunately, what you think is a darling moment of your three tots sudsing up can-cringe-worthy though it may be-fall into the wrong hands, such as those of child pornographers," explains Melissa Willets.

2. Sick or injured kids.

Sick or injured kids usually look sad, tired, unprepared and weak. You probably would not like to see yourself on social media looking like that, so why do it to your kids? If it just so happens that you do want to look like that on social media, you should still avoid posting pictures of your sick or injured kid on social media because these photos might be used by bullies to mock or humiliate your child.

3. Child shaming on social media.

Child shaming involves shaming your kids on social media for doing something bad. "Internet shaming isn't the answer, however, and could even have the opposite effect as children become isolated and less trusting of their caregivers," BellyBelly explained.

4. Kids using the toilet.

Parents should always remember that what you share with social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram can last forever. When your kids grow up, they would probably not appreciate knowing that their pictures doing No. 2 have been seen by lots of people.
