7 Habits that Separate the Supermoms from the Rest of the Mommies

Many mommies want to be considered as supermoms. Those moms are highly efficient at what they do, juggling work, parenting, and household management (cooking, cleaning, washing, the works). You may be wondering what's the secret of these supermoms; but in reality, there really is no secret recipe. There are only secret habits. Read on and find out what these supermom habits are.

Choosing the most productive time

Efficiency is achieved whenever you do stuff at your most productive time. Supermoms know when they are most productive and when they are not. If you are a night owl, then choose the time to do your work after the kids are already in bed. If you're an early riser, then get up early as well. Like what Parenting said, just don't get up early and stay up late at the same time as this can lead to burn-out.

Using time-blocks to do tasks

Supermoms get to cover tasks efficiently in a day because of time-blocking. When they have a list of tasks that need to be accomplished, they allocate hours for each task, then do their best to finish the task within the time that they allocated for it.

Procrastination is a no-no.

One habit of highly efficient moms is not putting off things. In short, they don't procrastinate. The moment they remember something that needs to be done, they do it immediately. Hence, they get to accomplish more tasks in a single day.

Setting environment for success

One example of setting the environment for success is to create a list of the tasks that you need to accomplish at night, that way, you wake up with that notion of the tasks that you should complete for that day. With this mind-set, you'll become the most efficient mom!

Saying "no" without a problem

Supermoms know how to prioritize tasks. They can say no to a request, if it's something that does not fit into their planned tasks for the day, or one that will not be beneficial for them or their families.

Understanding the importance of delegation

Supermoms are not super because they can do everything whether at home or at the workplace. Rather, they know how to delegate stuff in order to achieve the greater good.

Possessing the ability to ignore experts

If you listen to this expert and that expert, you tend to get crazy as to whom will you follow.  Many supermoms tend to follow their own gut instead of listening to what the expert say with regards to who is the good parent, as what is stated on WebMD. You will know that you're doing great when you get to be effective at what you're doing.

Being a supermom is not something impossible. You just have to remember these seven traits of a supermom and try to make them as your own.
