"Girl Meets World" Season 3 is only a week away from its premiere and the Disney Channel series recently released its new opening credits. According to Buzzfeed, the new title sequence for the upcoming season was based on the original show, "Boy Meets World."

There were quite a lot of references to "BMW" in the new title sequence for "GMW" Season 3. The show's very own Ben Savage reportedly directed the said opening credits for the series.

A lot of fans, especially those of "Boy Meets World" were very glad to see "Girl Meets World" pay homage to the original series. Others, however noticed that the new title sequence are somewhat hinting on the longstanding love triangle between Lucas (Peyton Meyer), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Riley (Rowan Blanchard).

One of the scenes from the "Girl Meets World" Season 3 opening credits showed Riley seated next to Lucas ("Rucas") while Maya and Josh (Uriah Shelton) are in front. This may be a confirmation of the show's writers earlier this month that Maya, Lucas and Riley will all find their own relationship.

Yahoo! TV also quotes on showrunner Michael Jacobs' previous interview with TheWrap, hinting that Riley and her friends will be going through a lot of changes in "GMW" Season 3.

"I think there will be a bigger shift between Year 2 and Year 3," he said.

"Girl Meets World" Season 3 premieres on Friday, June 3 on Disney Channel.
