NBA Trade Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers To Trade Nick Young To The Sixers? Lakers To Waive Nick Young If Not Traded?

Nick Young known as Swaggy P has been involved in a numerous NBA trade rumors since the NBA off-season. Today, the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly looking for a way to unload Nick Young and the Sixers are rumored to be their trading partner.

The Los Angeles Lakers are currently in a rebuilding process where the team is surrounded with young and potential superstars. With his declining performance, Nick Young is currently in a tight situation where the Lakers are reportedly shopping him or can be waived before the 2016 NBA season starts.

In a press release by Sportrageous, with the addition of Zach Auguste, the Lakers now have 16 players on their roster list. While the Sixers are in search of a good shooting guard, the Lakers could trade Nick Young to the Sixers in exchange for draft picks.

In that case, the Sixers would have a better shooting guard through Nick Young which is known to be a prolific scorer. Young is a perimeter threat with an average athleticism.

It's no secret that Nick Young was not efficient last season as it showed in his stats which he finished last season with 7.3 points while shooting 33% from the field, both are career low. With these numbers, this doesn't mean that Swaggy P's talent is wearing off, sending him back to the court with more playing time would provide more space to gain back his talent.

On the other hand, if things get to worse, the Los Angeles Lakers could waive Nick Young according to Yibada. As the Lakers are itching to send him out of the club he might end being waived if couldn't find a good trading partner.

In this scenario, the Philadelphia could possibly acquire Nick Young without giving anything. Nick Young would have the chance to play more minutes with the Sixers even coming off the bench.
