'Supergirl' Season 2 Spoilers & News: Superman & Supergirl Team Up Anew; Kara Danvers Meets Her New Boss

"Supergirl" Season 2 continues with a new episode this Monday, Oct. 17, at 8 p.m. on The CW. Entitled "The Last Children of Krypton," the episode will have Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) teaming up with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) anew. Kara Danvers will also meet her new boss, Snapper Carr (Ian Gomez) for the first time.

The latest episode of "Supergirl" Season 2 will have Supergirl and Superman facing off against a new villain named Metallo/John Corben (Frederick Schmidt), Bam Smack Pow reports. As seen in the premiere episode last week, John Corben's transformation was spearheaded by Cadmus. Thus, he has emerged as a powerful force to be reckoned with.

Metallo's first mission is to make sure that the children of Krypton are weakened on "Supergirl." But of course, cousins Superman and Supergirl will not allow this happen. Yet things will be bittersweet for viewers who might have enjoyed the Supergirl/Superman dynamics in the short time they have worked together. Screen Rant notes that this will be the last episode with Superman on "Supergirl" and it's still unclear if Tyler Hoechlin will be asked to come back for more.

However, there are still plenty of adventures for "Supergirl" in the upcoming episodes. Fans have yet to see Lynda Carter as the president, Mehcad Brook's James Olsen becoming a vigilante, and the crossover episodes with "The Flash," "Arrow" and "Legend of Tomorrow."

Meanwhile, the star character is also up for new challenges as Kara Danvers on "Supergirl." In the upcoming episode, she will dip her toes in her new job as a journalist for CatCo Media. Kara will meet her new boss Snapper Carr, but it will not be a good first meeting, as shown in the video at the end of this article. On the other hand, before he heads back to Metropolis, cousin Clark Kent will be giving Kara more advice on how to manage her new job and new boss.
