"Final Fantasy XV" has a new trailer from the same team that brought us "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV". The new trailer for the 15th installment of the "Final Fantasy" series provides more background material into the main protagonist of the game, the crown prince of Lucis: Noctis.
"Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV" was a visually stunning feat in CGI animation. Life-like characters and realistic locations showcase what Square Enix is capable of and cements their position as one of, or perhaps, the best in the industry.
"Kingsglaive" serves as the opening cinematic, albeit an ambitious one, to the "Final Fantasy XV" game that is set to be released later this year. It gives us the background story to conflict that players of the game are to resolve when the game is out.
Noctis only appears briefly in the recently released "Final Fantasy XV" movie "Kingsglaive". For those who stayed and watched until the end credits finished rolling, you would recall the scene wherein we see four guys riding in a car, presumably off to attend a wedding based on the conversation they were having. A list of names shown after this brief scene, tells us who they were, Noctis being one of them.
The new trailer for "Final Fantasy XV" shows Noctis dealing with a somewhat dark side of himself and shows a grim prophecy of things to come. The graphics and animation quality of this short trailer are what you would expect from a Square Enix production, the company that has brought us the eye-popping visuals of the "Final Fantasy" series' game cinematics.
On a separate note, Hajime Tabata, "Final Fantasy XV's" director in an interview with Gameblog, has shown interest in Nintendo's new console the Nintendo Switch. He has also shown a desire to make games for the device.
This could mean that we might be seeing some "Final Fantasy XV" games on the Nintendo Switch. It would be interesting to see how the new games would make use of the unique control scheme of the Nintendo Switch.
The Nintendo Switch won't be coming out anytime soon so until then there's the PS4 and the Xbox One to keep us company for the "Final Fantasy XV" saga. "Final Fantasy XV" will be released on the PS4 and the Xbox One by November 29 of this year.
