Side-By-Side 'Beauty And The Beast' Comparison: Parents Will Feel Nostalgic & Enchanted With These Shots Of Old & New

A video featuring a side-by-side and shot-by-shot comparison of the old and new "Beauty and the Beast" is making parents nostalgic. The original animated Disney flick, which was released 25 years ago, has no doubt enchanted a lot of people who regard the movie as their classic favorite.

Excitement and anticipation has been building up with Disney releasing the live-action version of "Beauty and the Beast." The eagerness for the film has grown even stronger with the latest trailer release that shows the two films are almost identical.

Side-by-side clips of the old and new "Beauty and the Beast" has gone viral on social media, with some parents saying that they can't wait to watch the movie with their children. The studio has previously announced that the Emma Watson-Dan Stevens film will be in theaters on March 17, 2017.

"This isn't only made for adults. Plenty of children will see this," one commenter said on Facebook. "They were adapted by Disney and therefore millions of children know the Disney version of the movie," she added.

Interestingly enough, Emma Watson was only a year old when the first "Beauty and the Beast" came out in theaters in 1991. Paige O' Hara, who voiced Belle in the animation, gave the actress words of advice on taking on the character.

"You're going to be a heroine," Paige O'Hara said, according to Uproxx. She also said that their movies will stick with them for their entire life. "When you're my age, you're going to be looking back at doing Beauty and the Beast."

One slight difference with the old and new version of "Beauty and the Beast" is that the studio gave Belle a job as an inventor, which makes the female character more inspiring for little girls. "We wanted to make sure that she remained a feminist figure and someone who looks to the future," director Bill Condon said, according to Telegraph.
