Democratic Presidential Teenage Elector Joins National Movement Against President Donald Trump

A Washington State teen Democratic presidential voter is now a member of "faithless electors." Levi Guerra, 19, announced last Wednesday that she will join the lines of the "Hamilton electors," a rebel assembly that stops demagogues from coming into the White House. Now, she is the seventh "faithless elector," to dispute the election of President Donald Trump.

"I stand behind Hamilton electors," Levi Guerra told The Guardian. "I promised those who elected me that I would do everything I could to keep Donald Trump out of office," she added.

On Wednesday, Levi Guerra confirmed in a press conference held at the state capitol at Olympia that she will join the "Hamilton electors." The association is a rebel group that believes it's the duty of Electoral College that has 538 electors to stop any unfit individual to become president.

Guerra is among the 12 voters from Washington State who were instructed to elect Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, as member of the Electoral College. The result of the election showed Clinton got 53 percent of votes in Washington State while Trump only got 37 percent.

Now, the teenager is going to cast a vote to a lot more "reasonable" Republican. Instead of following the norm of Electoral College of electing Clinton, as her statement that Trump is not fit to become president.

Guerra said that she is only 19 and it's her first time to be involved in politics, however, she hopes that her willingness to put her country before her party will show that her generation cares about all the people in America. She assured her community that she would do all to make sure Trump doesn't become the head of the state and fears what example would Trump set for her generation.

Now, she became the seventh "faithless elector" to oppose the presidency of Trump, according to the Independent. The seven electors will try to stop Donald Trump from being officially confirmed as president-elect when the entire members of Electoral College meet together on Dec. 19.
