‘Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’ Gameplay Trailer Premier, Featuring Infinity Stones; Coming to PS4, Windows PC, Xbox One in 2017?

Capcom and Marvel finally battles it out as Capcom unveils the latest addition to the hit fighting game "Marvel vs. Capcom." The trailer only showed the epic battle between 2 teams of 2 utilizing the Infinity Stones.

At the PlayStation Experience event, "The Last of Us: Part 2" was revealed. Following this, gaming fans got even more excited as Marvel and Capcom finally gave fans a taste of the crossover fighting series with the release of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" gameplay trailer. Further, Capcom also announced that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC in 2017, according to Venture Beat.

The "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" gameplay trailer featured 4 heroes, 2 from both sides. Marvel's Iron Man and Captain Marvel displayed their heroic prowess against Ryu and Mega Man X from Capcom. Also, the gameplay showcased the fighters from both the Marvel and Capcom sides fighting it out using the power of the cosmic Infinity Stones.

The Infinity Stones for power and time were used by Ryu and Captain Marvel, respectively, in the "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" gameplay trailer. According to Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Infinity Stones are six immensely powerful objects and each stone possesses unique capabilities such as manipulating time and mind that have been enhanced and altered by various alien civilizations through the millennia.

Neowin reported that Director of Digital Media and eSports at Capcom, Neidel Crisan announced that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will not only include single player Arcade, Training, and Mission modes but also will feature a cinematic Story Mode. The story mode "puts players at the center of both universes as they battle for supremacy against powerful forces and a new villain."

In fact, according to Polygon, "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" gameplay trailer looks slightly less chaotic than "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3." This is perhaps due in part the 2v2 tag team gameplay and the apparent absence of assist characters.

The "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" full roster hasn't been confirmed yet. However, Captain America is to be expected in addition to the characters already included in the gameplay trailer, per Capcom. Meanwhile, stay tuned for more info as the company promised to reveal more info in the run-up to launch.
