Data from the application launched by the Federal Government reveal most common topics parents are seeking help with. Surprisingly, the most common, seemingly effortless daily activities like watching television, use of gadgets and preparing breakfast are taking the top spots.

The Potential Parenting Application was launched in August last year by Hon Christopher Pyne MP, the former Minister for Education and Training. The downloadable free application for parents is full of tips and advice that can help parents become more involved in their children's learning.

Ever since it was launched by the Federal Government, records show that the Learning Potential Parenting Application has been downloaded for more than 118,000 times. The application data show that the most common topics Australian parents need help with include how to transform television viewing into a learning experience for children, tips on preparing healthy meals and how to properly regulate the use of technology among children.

According to Adelaide Now, the Learning Potential Parenting Application's most read article is about how parents can transform watching television into an exciting TV learning experience for children with 15,934 views. The article about healthy breakfast and how it can help improve children's concentration and learning comes close behind with 15,047 views.

In the latest interview, Federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham said that the Learning Potential Parenting Application was primarily designed to give parents tips and advice based on statistics from both national and international studies. Birmingham added that as a father himself, he can relate to parent's who wish to seek guidance about raising children. The Federal Education Minister also believed that literacy and numeracy applications could be beneficial from his experience with his two daughters ages four and five.

Learning Potential Parenting Application proves to be an efficient storage of reputable parenting tips, sources says. Currently, the application is experiencing an increase in popularity leading to its relaunching with 45 new articles as additions. Of this number, nearly half deal about tips on how to use technology.
