Nintendo NES Classic Edition Stock Updates: Win ThinkGeek's Daily Lottery To Get The Console!

The hype this Christmas season is the ever elusive Nintendo NES Classic Console, which is not only hard to find but also difficult to buy, once you found it. Different stores are resorting to various ways to satisfy their customers. It's time for ThinkGeek's turn.

In an announcement on their official website, ThinkGeek confirmed that stocks of Nintendo NES Classic Edition are headed for their warehouse. Not only are they selling the consoles, but also they are conducting a lottery so that avid customers can get their hands on the much-awaited item fairly, not a first-come, first-served basis.

"Here's the deal: more of you want NES Classics than we have to sell. "We want to do right by you, so we're going to make this as fair as we can," ThinkGeek posted.

The process for joining, and hopefully winning, ThinkGeeks's lottery is fairly easy. First, you need to create a ThinkGeek account (for free) or login, if you have one already, per GameSpot. Then, add the NES Classic Edition to your Wishlist. Then, sit back, wait, cross your fingers, and pray to all gods you win the much coveted and elusive classic console from Nintendo.

The team at ThinkGeek will randomly select the names from the pool of accounts who placed the NES Classic Edition to their Wishlist, giving them a chance to buy the console for $60, as reported by Polygon. ThinkGeek will send them an email with a code that can be used to buy the Nintendo NES Classic Edition. The codes are only valid for 24 hours. If the code is not used within the allotted time, then someone else will get a shot at acquiring the console.

The first Lottery drawing at ThinkGeek occurred today at 10 a.m. ET. The second one will happen tomorrow at around the same time. According to ThinkGeek, a lottery drawing will be daily until stocks of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition run out. However, they didn't mention how many units they actually have.

Meanwhile, Nintendo has promised that additional Nintendo NES Classic Edition will continue to be made available during the holiday shopping season. While stocks in the US are almost non-existent, a Malaysian store posted their Facebook account a picture of more than a hundred units of the console they received. Perhaps, this could be the answer to the short supply, go overseas.
