NES Classic Edition 2016 At GameStop: One Last Chance To Get Nintendo’s Console Before Christmas

Nintendo's NES Classic Edition has been difficult for consumers to find, especially now that we are only a few days before until Christmas is here. GameStop might just answer your prayers.

One of the largest gaming retailers in the United States expects to have one more shipment of the ever elusive NES Classic Edition in their physical stores. This might be the last chance to get the consoles.

According to an obtained notice by Polygon: "GameStop has again received another limited shipment of Nintendo NES Classics today through Thursday." However, the units will only be available in their brick-and-mortar stores. "GameStop recommends that customers call their local stores to determine local quantities," added the notice.

One notable thing is that GameStop did not reveal how many units they will have and which locations will have the most number of Nintendo NES Classic Edition 2016. If you still need to get your hands on the hard-to-pin-down 8-bit retro systems, the only other option is to keep a close watch on Amazon's NES Classic Edition page, per Yahoo News.

Meanwhile, the secondary market has raised the price of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition 2016 from a $60 console to a massive $230 unit. This is because the demand for the unit "outstrips supply."

The classic console was released last Nov. 11, and since then, many have struggled to get their hands on the Nintendo NES Classic Edition 2016. Fortune reported that just last month, Nintendo was able to sell 196,000 NES Classic Editions in the United States alone.

Nintendo clearly hasn't met demand even though they have desperately tried to get as many units as possible. The Nintendo NES Classic Edition 2016 has been selling like wildfire. When Best Buy acquired shipment last Tuesday, the lines were out of the door as people tried so hard to get the retro console.
