'Minecraft: Console Editions' Introduces Its First Mini Games 'Battle' Inspired By 'Hunger Games'

"Minecraft: Console Editions" has new game modes based on prominent activities the community of "Minecraft" has already established. Microsoft announced that "Battle" the first mini game that will be made is inspired by "Hunger Games" and it will be a fast-paced multiplayer game allowing up to eight people to play per battle.

The merge of Microsoft and Mojang make "Minecraft" even bigger because it already has mini games. Yet, players can still be familiar with its newest mini game "Battle" because it is inspired by the Minecraft community. Since it is a PVP multiplayer game, a player and eight other friends could battle against each other in massive arenas filled with armor, weapons, secrets and numerous hiding places that could allow one to be the last man standing.

According to IGN, there are three different maps in "Minecraft: Console Editions" and a player will be spawned in a rotation of these including Cove, Cavern and Lair. A player will be facing a mountain of chests and will be running straight for them once the timer hits zero. Players who could open the chests before others could do so could have a bunch of randomized loot that may help in taking other players or defending oneself.

It was observed that a player can be killed quickly if the potions, weapons and food inside the chests are missed. On the other hand, Nerdists reported that more maps could be obtained provided that the player will pay $2.99 for the map packs. The sizes of the maps in "Minecraft: Console Editions" compliment the length of the game and each round is five minutes long.

The slash PvP combat and the simple hack of "Minecraft" remains unchanged. But, the period countdowns are added in "Battle" which makes automatic loot chest placements and refills as the game is still on. Players are not required to do things manually to enjoy "Hunger Games" mode.
