January 2017 Game Release Schedules Include ‘Resident Evil 7,’ ‘Kingdom Hearts’ & More!

As cliché as it may sound but this is a "New Year, New You," meaning we will see a whole new roster of much-anticipated titles in the first month of 2017. This month's game lineup include "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," "Yakuza 0," "Tales of Berseria," and more. Check out the full list below.

They highly anticipated titles and their description are listed below, all of which are scheduled to launch before January 2017 ends. Let's begin with the biggest title to hit gaming consoles this month.

"Gravity Rush 2" is scheduled for a Jan. 20 release exclusively for PS4. This is the sequel to "Gravity Rush" (2012) that was released for PS Vita. Towards the end of December 2016, a short animation was released stitching together both the earlier game and the sequel. If you want to read more about it, click here.

On Jan. 24, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" and "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" will both be released. While the first-person survival horror game will be released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, the Square Enix's HD remastered collection will solely be released on PS4.

On the same day, "Tales of Berseria" will be launched on PC and PS4. According to GameSpot, this will be the sixteenth entry in the "Tales" series, published by Bandai Namco. And then there's the long-running "Yakuza" series. A prequel will be exclusively released on PS4, "Yakuza 0."

Here is a breakdown of the other titles that will be launched for this month. Yesterday, Jan. 5, "Milkmaid of the Milky Way" was released on PC, Mac, and iOS, while "HoPiko" is heading for PC, Mac, and Linux today, Jan. 6.

VentureBeat reported that these games are going to be released on PC today, too: "Crimson Sword Saga: The Peloran Wars," "Don't Chat With Strangers," "Rising," "Standby," and "Twisted." And "ACA Neo Geo Alpha Mission II" will be launched on PS4 today.

On Jan. 9, the following will be launched for PC: "Javva Juice," "Ladykiller in a Bind" (Mac and Linux, too), "Tomb Joe," and "Word Killer: Revolution." January 10, we will see "Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone" on PS4, while "Beats Fever" (PC) and "Night in the Woods" (PS4, PC, Mac) will be finally available.
