‘God Of War’ 4 Latest Updates, Release, News: Sony ‘GOW’ Game To Set Norse Midgard Serpent As Kratos’ Enemy?

"God Of War" 4 from Sony Santa Monica and creative director Cory Barlog is set to give "GOW" protagonist Kratos new enemies, which reportedly will include the Midgard Serpent from Norse mythology. Although "God Of War" relocates Kratos from Greek to Norse mythology, the challenges for the "GOW" lead and his son will be no less dangerous.

Naturally, Kratos and his son will be up against new enemies in "God Of War" 4. Players will reportedly feel as if major forces are trying to keep Kratos from turning over a new leaf and building a new life with his unnamed son and wife.

While Kratos' patience will be tried and tested by opposition from characters taken from Norse mythology, the "God Of War" 4 protagonist will struggle to control his temper. Otherwise, "God Of War 4" players will find out what consequences will ensue when Kratos' rage goes unchecked.

Digital Spy cites findings at NeoGaf based on the "God Of War" 4 trailer revealed at E3 2016 on what Kratos' enemies will be like. Among those detected from the "GOW" gameplay trailer was a scaly creature that resembles a monster of a snake.

According to the media outlet, "God Of War" fans have been predicting that the creature will prove to the Midgard Serpent, which is a big deal in Norse mythology. Digital Spy points out that if indeed the "God Of War" 4 trailer teased the Midgard Serpet, Kratos and his son will be in for very tough challenges in the new "GOW."

Meanwhile, Parent Herald cites that PlayStation Experience (PSX) 2016 will not be showing any playable demo of "God Of War" 4 as confirmed by Cory Barlog on Twitter. Cory Barlog explained that all efforts are not being poured into completing "God Of War" 4, although Sony Santa Monica will still show up with a nice surprise at PSX 2016.

By estimation, Sony Santa Monica could release "God Of War" 4 by 2017 optimistically or 2018 realistically. Share your comments on "God Of War" 4 in the box below.
