Children's Advocate Glad By More Freedom Legislated As Per PC Promise

Recently PCs promised independent children advocate, reduced red tape in the throne speech. Darlene Macdonald, a children advocate, finds this decision a very practical one. Prior to this decision, speaking out was prohibited.

According to CBC, she says that the promises made in parliament speech will give a lot of leverage in speaking out for the protection of children's rights. It is going to shape children's welfare system in a better way.The decision is going to empower the office of children advocates, which will help in a better defense of children's right.

This promise of the legislature will allow the children advocates to be more vocal about children's issues. They will be able to talk openly about policies which were prohibited under previous rules and regulations. This legislation will enable to release the news in public, providing correct information to the people.

This step and being more vocal about children affairs will cause a positive outcome in the improvement of child welfare system.Being transparent about matters like successful fostering relationships stories is going to make people more aware of children's rights protection.

Darlene MacDonald is of the opinion that children advocate was looking forward to the implementation of this for so many years. Previous policies had tied the lawyers' hands in providing their complete help in the defending children rights and working for their better future. But now, the new policies adopted by the legislature, when practiced efficiently will  improve the system to a great extent.

Children protection and correct policies for their bright future are serious issues and cannot be ignored easily. So the new and improved promised legislation are going to change the trends a lot.
The matters will now be more open and the children advocate have vowed to give their best in this regard under the new policies.
