‘This Is Us’ Season 1 News & Updates: Fall Finale Recap; When Will Episode 11 Air? [Spoilers]

“This is Us” season 1 episode 10, fall finale, showed that misery won this holidays. The fall finale did not prepare the viewers of the cliffhanger that they had to face.

Rebecca (Mandy Moore) reminds everyone that nothing bad happens during Christmas Eve, and viewers believed her. All is well in the flashback of the “Last Christmas” episode.

However, in the present day Pearson family Christmas gathering, everything went well except for one. Toby (Chris Sullivan) confessed his love, again, for Kate and added that he’s back on dieting for him and her.

Kate was ecstatic to hear the news, so he invited Toby in. The Christmas dinner was finished, and all that’s left was to clean the dishes, Toby helped Beth. Unfortunately, Toby collapsed and the next thing viewers see is that he’s flat-lining, TV Line reports.

So, it’s clear that “This is Us” season 1 episode 11 can kick off with this; Toby’s dead. How will everyone, especially Kate react to this tragic loss on Christmas Eve?

In an interview, Dan Fogelman is still unsure with Toby’s faith. He can or cannot make it; there’s still at least three weeks to decide and for fans to find out.

Though the title of the season 1 episode 10 of “This is Us” is a little ominous considering to what happened to Toby. However, it didn’t fully refer to Toby as it refers to the most common social line during the holidays; “do you remember last Christmas?”

Another revelation for the upcoming episodes is that Randall’s (William Hill) mother and grandparents will also be part of his life. It’ll be more that just glimpses now.

For now, Fogelman adds that the second half of the season will still reveal a lot about the characters and their stories. They are still in high hopes that the viewers will love the change in time periods and see the main characters in different time periods, Deadline reports.
