53-Year-Old Man Gets Arrested For Having A Relationship With A 13-Year-Old

A 53-year-old man from Georgia was caught by the police on October 20 for having a relationship with a teenage girl. Apparently, the two have been together for four years and that is when the girl was still 13.

In an article published by The Washington Post, Kent Igleheart, 53, works as a city council in Georgia and was arrested after police found out his relationship with a minor. He was caught by the police at a shopping mall during his supposed rendezvous with the girl.

He thought that he would be meeting his lover, but little did he know that the cops already planned their moves to caught him in the act. The girl, who is now 17 years old, finally told her mother about the relationship. That is when the police officers started monitoring her cellphone.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution also got a hold of this story saying that the two's relationship even went sexual. This is the reason why Igleheart is now facing charges that involve sexual exploitation of a child, giving alcohol to an underage and luring a child for inappropriate acts.

The mother of the teen explained everything to the police regarding how Igleheart was encouraging his daughter to exchange inappropriate pictures. She was shocked to see how her daughter was exchanging conversations with Igleheart, especially when the topic was about masturbation.

This news has tarnished the name of Igleheart since he is not just an ordinary citizen of Georgia. He even made the list of the state's 40 Under 40, as published in a Georgia magazine. There are no reports on how he met the girl and police officers believe that this is not his only victim.

It is indeed illegal for an adult to have a relationship with a minor. But there are people who would agree to disagree. Some would even argue that there could be love involved and that the whole thing could even be consensual. What is your opinion about it?
